My current machines are, onefinity journeyman 32×48, cnc4newbie tk4848, shapeoko xxl, and shapertool orgin, Lincoln 5×10 plasma, and Gravograph LS100 laser. I own a shopsmith setup.
My current goto machine:
Onefinity Journeyman 32yx48x (since 2020)
2.2KW spindle, 220 volt air cooled, 80mm
Onefinity buildbotics 7″ interface
all ballscrew machine, with linear bearings. If you need a fast, accurate machine at a great price, this is it.
It is a true game changer in Hobby CNC. you can have industrial speed and accuracy at a hobby budget.
Nothing else on the market can compete with this, on price vs speed vs quality.
additional toys:
Jtech 7 watt laser
6 watt Opt laser. this is such a good laser, much more power than Jtech, and love the build quality. it is super easy, alum mounts, has optional lenses for even more cutting ability, or to make it act more like co2 laser than standard diode. I’ll be reviewing later, as well as the 15 watt model.
aluminum mount
wiring disconnects with magnetic mount
plug and play with onefinity and most controllers.
My current 4’x4′ workhorse:
CNC4Newbie C4N4848TK (since 2020)
2.2KW spindle, 220 volt air cooled, 80mm
UCCNC interface
UCR201 wireless jog pendant(purchased from cnc4newbie, but not on their site)
all ballscrew machine, with linear bearings. If you need power for your $$$, this is the machine. Will be providing more info and reviews on this very soon.

My machine I no longer use, in storage, not fun with the other 2 machines above.
Shapeoko XXL(since 2018), with cnc4newbie z axis (original shapeoko 3 slider) updated stepper, and 1.5KW 65mm spindle with VFD.
Machine that got me interested in CNC. It runs well, have had a few issues, but learned a lot. Still use carbide motion, but long since abandoned carbide motion for Vectric Aspire.

My most unique CNC
Shapertool Origin(2016 early adopter). Handheld Router that is a CNC. Does work pretty well, Does 2d, but not 2.5D or 3D. Has wifi, input is SVG file, works on large workspace. Has camera interface to read shaper tape, and scan the work surface. Can come back later and it will know the work space and continue where it left off. Can be tiring to run on long jobs, as you push the thing around.
I have the workstation with this. Would i buy again, no. but it is useful and has a place in cnc.
